The picture below provides a high level overview of the 2017 route. There will be only one 15-mile route this year which avoids crossing the Union Pacific railroad tracks and Route 176. The safety of Night Owl participants is of primary importance. The route is on public streets and must be shared with motor vehicles during evening hours. We require all riders to wear helmets, have lights on your bicycle and ride no more then two abreast. The Crystal Lake Police Department also reminds us to obey all traffic laws. The ride will begin at 11:00 PM on Saturday, August 6th at the Crystal Lake City Hall parking lot (100 W. Woodstock Street). No riders will be permitted to start the ride after 11:30 PM.
The route will be marked with orange reflective arrow signs at each turn.
